A lot of business software is designed in the office and then ‘rolled out’ to the shop floor. We work the other way round. We start with the operator, the warehouse worker and the team leader: what exactly do they do, and where do they get stuck? Only when we understand that do we start building. That’s how JobControl, StockControl and TimeControl came about: apps that work seamlessly with your ERP, yet are as easy to use as the apps on your phone.
Because an app nobody uses delivers nothing. For us, simplicity isn’t a design choice but the starting point: big buttons, clear steps, no unnecessary fields. Your people are working with it within a day, and you finally see in real time what is happening on the floor – without paper and without retyping.
